My wife used to play this with a cellist friend of her's in concert. I loved the intensity of it. He was a great cellist. It is nice to see anothet great cellist here. I love the interpretation! Very emotional.

I agree with many of the comments that there is too often simply an attempt to demonstrate dexterity, so we never recieve the essence of what the music was intended to express, which here was done so compellingly.
